Odbc Manager For Mac

Mac

I am trying to get Excel 2016 (15.30, Office 365 subscription) to acces a filemaker database via ODBC, as a client.

This is the official ODBC driver manager and driver from the PostgreSQL. You can configure ODBC using only odbc.ini, which contains the ODBC DSN details. You can optionally using odbcinst.ini as well but it is not needed. Repeat this process for each parameter. For details about the parameters that can be set for each DSN, see ODBC Configuration and Connection Parameters. Click OK to create the DSN. If you are creating the first user or system DSN for the ODBC driver, ODBC Manager creates the odbc.ini file in the corresponding directory for the type of DSN you are creating. Download ODBC Manager 1.0.18. 840 KB 64-bit only. Requires Mac OS 10.9 or later. Made for 64-bit ODBC drivers. Notarized and Gatekeeper compatible.

The database seems to communicate via ODBC and iQueryODBC can see the tables and data in the Filemaker Database.

I can configure DSNs using Actual's ODBC manager (1.0.14), and these test OK.

When I try to establish a link between Excel and Filemaker via ODBC (Data / Get External Data / From Database) the iODBC chooser window opens but with no functionality - DSN connections cannot be tested (nothing happens) or configured, and clicking OK to advance to Query just brings me back to the Spreadsheet, with no data.

I suspect there is some confusion with the versions of the iODBC chooser that Excel is calling up, but I do not see how I can check to see that its 64 bit and, if its not, how I can force Excel to use a different Data Source Chooser that is 64 bit.
